4 Things That You Need to Be Able to Overcome
Like just about anything in life, there are going to be some obstacles that you need to overcome if you are going to be successful at getting your ex girlfriend back. I don't say that to try and talk you out of going after her again. I am saying that as a little bit of a caution, just so that you don't get surprised when they do come up. To think that it is going to be easy, kind of like a cake walk to reconcile with an ex girlfriend would not be a wise idea. On the other hand, knowing what to expect can help you feel like you are really going to be able to handle just about any situation and that is definitely a good thing.
Here are 5 things that you need to be able to overcome if you are trying to win back your ex girlfriend:
1) You need to be able to overcome your own doubts about whether or not you can do this.
This is going to be one of the bigger challenges that you will face. There are definitely going to be moments where you start to wonder whether or not you really are going to be able to convince your ex girlfriend that giving you another chance is really the right thing to do. If you can deal with your own doubts about this, then you should be able to put a stop to any doubts that she might have about getting back together.
2) You need to be able to convince your ex girlfriend that things are not going to go back to the way that they were when you and her broke up.
This is probably going to be the biggest fear that your ex is going to have. Even if there is a part of her that really wants to get back together with you, you still have to realize that she is going to have some doubts about whether or not things are going to be good again with you or if they are going to go right back to where they were when you and her broke up. This is where actions are going to play a much bigger role than words are.
3) You are going to have to deal with your own impatience.
Most of the time, when you really feel strongly about reconciling, then you want it to happen as quickly as possible. However, that is not always going to be the best approach. Sometimes when you move too fast, you end up pushing away your ex girlfriend and that is probably the last thing that you want to do. So, just take things slow and know that you are going to make it more likely that you do get her back if you are patient and allow things to happen the way that they are supposed to instead of trying to force things to happen.
4) You are also going to have to deal with other people's opinions on the subject.
People like to gossip, they really do. And they like to gossip about other people's relationships more than just about anything else. Go take a look at the celeb magazines and you'll see that most of the gossip tends to circulate around their relationships. You and your ex girlfriend may not be celebs, but that does not change the fact that co workers, family, and friends will still like to opine about what they think is the right thing to do. If you just allow the gossip and the opinions to roll of your shoulders like it doesn't mean a thing, you should be good. On the other hand, if it makes you lose your nerve, then you might not be able to win back your ex girlfriend.
